The purpose of this project was for us to use our knowledge of 2-dimensional design to create a book cover. Specifically, we were instructed to create a visually pleasing composition that communicated the ideas of a book related to our major. I chose domino, which details the decorating process and emphasizes the importance of individual taste and functionality. I created a cover that resembles a mood board being actively put together by a hand, as I wanted to create a composition that shows the design process in an abstract way and highlights the individual’s role in creating a space.
