This project focused on developing our skills in creating the appearance of 3-dimensional depth on a 2-dimensional surface by abstracting an object. I chose to abstract a sweet potato because I wanted to work with an organic shape that had interesting textures. While making my process sketches, I studied the details of its form and texture and then incorporated them into my final composition.
